This fitness studio is a full service facility equipped with diverse types of strength training, cardiovascular, flexibility, and balance mechanisms. The team of certified, caring, professional Trainers is here at your service and is committed to providing you with an experience of support, sincerity, knowledgeable expertise and success in obtaining your goals. The first step toward creating an exercise program customized for you is to schedule a full fitness assessment. This will require about an hour of your time and will include a complete Medical Health History, which is a matter of answering a series of questions such as “ Have you ever had a suspected heart attack or stroke?” There will be questions pertaining to your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and all types of related data and corresponding diseases. Some will pertain to family history, but most are directed toward you and your physical state, both past and present. Next you will be asked to provide us with ‘baseline’ information such as your body measurements, weight, body composition (fat verses lean muscle mass), flexibility measurements, blood pressure, heart rate and all manner of statistics that allow us to document where you presently are so that 3, 6 or 12 months from now we can compare back and see the tremendous progress you have made. The next segment of testing will be dictated by the previous information in that, we will want to do some type of cardiovascular assessment/testing but depending on your physical needs that can vary from a step test, bicycle test or treadmill test. Any of which will be conducted in a way that is comfortable and doable for you. A muscle strength and endurance test follows next and again they are based on your capacities at present. Our final 10-15 minutes will be spent talking about your present food regime and the goals that you have for yourself.

Upon accumulating this data we will design you a fitness program that will bring you safely, effectively and as efficiently as possible to the obtainment of your fitness goals. There are no binding contracts, memberships or initiation fees at The Fitness Connection. We believe that the choice is yours and it is up to you how you utilize our services. You may decide to take your fitness program to a local health club or gym and implement it yourself or to proceed at home, checking in with us monthly for an update. Some people choose to come and work with a Trainer 1, 2 or even 3 times per week. It really is entirely up to you...that power is in your hands. Our capacity to motive, support and encourage is unsurpassed and we are here to assist you as much or as little as you deem necessary.
